2018 Roundup of Advances in Diagnostics Industry

As we head into the beginnings of 2019, it’s always interesting to me to review the roundups of the top news stories in the diagnostics industry as published by various trade publications. At Psychē Systems, we are always endeavoring to develop our products to help our laboratory customers stay at the forefront of the diagnostics testing industry. Here is an overview of some of the interesting advances seen in the past year:

The editors of Diagnostics World News published an overview roundup of 10 groundbreaking achievements that took place in the diagnostics industry in 2018. In the roundup the editors wrote: “It’s been a big year for the diagnostics industry. Developments have led to a fantastic year of product announcements and thoughtful discussions. As we head into 2019, we at Diagnostics World would like to take a moment and reflect on the groundbreaking achievements from this past year. In that spirit, here are the top 10 stories of 2018, ranked in order of popularity.”

Michele Wilson writing for Technology Networks recently also brought us a roundup of TN’s top 10 list of diagnostics stories as covered in their publication. She writes: “2018 brought us sweat sensors, a point-of-care device which indicates mild traumatic brain injury, promising diagnostic epi-signatures, and serious advances in 3D medical imaging.
